LOW-STRESS CAT GROOMING

Low-stress cat grooming

Low stress does not mean no stress. It means actively removing avoidable stimulation and changing course before the cat can no longer cope safely.
01

Prepare in advance

Prepare diluted product, towels, brushes and drying equipment before the cat enters the grooming area. Avoid leaving midway or making the cat wait through unnecessary setup.

02

Control stimulation

Use a stable non-slip surface, gentle water flow and lower noise. Reduce sudden movement, never direct water at the face, and protect the eyes, nose, mouth and ear canals.

03

Recognize stop signals

Monitor breathing, pupils, ear position, body stiffness, struggling and defensive behaviour. Stop non-essential handling when clear warning signs appear and put safety first.
